Nearly a year later, no visible progress.

The Eudora team you referred me to have been, at least to the visible eye, not merely quiet, but COMPLETELY INACTIVE!

On the Thunderbird side, no movement either.

Still no outgoing filters!

You asked for some suggestions for your 'About Me'. What about an explanation of what actually, really, truly, is going to be achieved at Thunderbird?

@Matthew: Eudora is doing its own thing, based on Thunderbird. See http://wiki.mozilla.org/Penelope for details.

So Thunderbird is going to become like Eudora, or not? I am puzzled.

There were all these announcements. But I search your blog for 'Eudora' and it's nowhere. What happened to the Eudora idea? Eudora was great.

Thunderbird is not presently a viable heavy duty e-mail client. It's buggy, the filters are useless, the directory is hopelessly clunky, the 'find' takes hours, it consumes vast amounts of disk space - in sum it is an absolute failure.

What is there to hope for? Please don't tell us that TBird is really already half-way there, because believe me, it's not. Some hope would be nice.

Simple questions. ICANN is moving along IDN and soon enough we will have to deal with them in email as well. Does Mozilla Messaging's team gave a thought to the protocol for internationalized emails (IETF & al.)? What's your take on this and where would be it's place in the master plan?

Cheers

Thanks for the update. I was wondering what was going on with TB, since I'm always reading news about Fx, but nothing for TB. I've been using the product since the very beginning loyally!!! Keep up the great work!

The hold off makes sense given Firefox has the larger user base and is more at risk for the given exploits.
